About GAF Seam Tape

GAF Seam Tape consists of a coatable fabric surface backed with a polymer modified butyl adhesive. It is designed for application to a wide range of substrates where additional strength is required over loose or open seams and membrane tears.

GAF Seam Tape is available in 50 ft. length rolls with the following widths: 4” and 6”.

GAF Seam Tape Application

Cut GAF Seam Tape to desired length with a knife or scissors. Slowly remove release paper backing and press firmly into place, centering the tape over the crack or seam. Avoid contamination of the adhesive before and during application. Remove any bubbles or buckling by pressing out by hand or utilizing a seam roller. Initial bond is immediate; full bond requires approximately 24 hours. Review the below data sheet for complete application instructions.
